Hollywood elites have steadily taken shots at President Donald Trump’s daily briefings on the Coronavirus outbreak and his overall response since the situation began.
And according to Breitbart, the latest star to take shots at the President is “Batman” actor Michael Keaton, who posted on Instagram over the weekend following one of Trump’s daily Coronavirus Task Force briefings from the White House.
He indicated in his post that he wasn’t “hating” on Trump, rather, just asking him to let his experts take the full lead.
“Please. I swear. I’m not even hating or yelling. Just, please get out of the way. No one will get mad. Please. Move out of the way. Please,” Keaton wrote.
Trump’s almost daily televised briefings, in which he takes a number of questions from socially-distanced reporters from various networks, have drawn huge ratings for most television stations that choose to carry them. The president often goes back and forth with some of his enemies in the mainstream media, such as CNN’s Jim Acosta.
However, because of backlash from various pundits in the media and social media users who harshly disapprove of Trump’s take on the Coronavirus issue, some networks have begun to pull away from the briefings to some degree, if not altogether.
Keaton, among others, have heaped praise on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for his daily briefings on his state’s Coronavirus situation, recently writing “This guy is showing real leadership and with CLARITY, Cuomo-Fauci 2024. Joking (kind of).”
