Late Friday night, images surfaced of Sen. Bernie Sanders supporters helping the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign out of an Australia office.
The picture appeared on a Reddit post in r/SandersForPresident, which was captioned, “Sending texts and making calls from Melbourne, Australia!”
One Twitter user who linked to this post said these “Bernie Bros” were “openly meddling in America elections.”

On the original post, someone asked if those pictured are “expats or Aussies,” to which the original poster replied that there are “some of each.” They added that they’re hosting “meet ups in multiple Australian cities this weekend to volunteer.”
Conservatives and supporters of President Donald Trump are not pleased that Sanders has offices and non-American citizens helping his campaign from abroad, with some asking for an FEC investigation.
“Australians are trying to influence Bernie’s campaign along with Russia. Special council and FISA when?” asked one Reddit user.
“Not only do we have to deal with idiot leftists in our country, but now we have to deal with idiot leftists in other countries!” another said.
In 2016, Sanders lost the Democratic nomination to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. This time, he’s making serious headway going into Super Tuesday, leading by double digits in a few polls.
