Hollywood Director Says Trump, Republicans Should Be ‘Prosecuted’ For Being ‘Murderers’

Hollywood is lashing out at Republicans once again.

On Tuesday, Hollywood writer-director Judd Apatow was incensed by comments made from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said that the Democrats’ impeachment push earlier this year hurt the COVID-19 response.

“I think [the Senate Majority Leader] and all of these politicians should be prosecuted when this is done for the lies which cost thousands of deaths,” Apatow said on Twitter. “He knows Trump is a con man who lied to everyone to delay bad news and that led to thousands of additional deaths. They are all murderers.”

Despite Apatow’s comments, Trump’s approval rating has rising drastically with regard to the coronavirus response, with a majority of Americans believing that the president is doing a good job in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

In the past Apatow has called the president a “Nazi” and that there’s no debating it.

“He’s a Nazi. He wants no judicial process. He kidnapped children and commits acts of violence for political gain and to support his racist views,” he ranted back in 2018, according to Breitbart. “He admires violent dictators. Trump is a Nazi. The debate is over. Soon we will have proof he is a Nazi supported by the Russians.”

Currently the U.S. mortality rate for COVID-19 is around 1.5 percent of all confirmed cases, far less than many European countries. Additionally, Trump has fast-tracked treatment drugs through the FDA, like hydroxychloriquine and chloroquine.
