New York Natural History Museum To Remove Teddy Roosevelt Statue From Entrance

In the latest attempt to cancel and even erase American history by the triggered, woke liberals who believe that by doing so it will somehow begin to heal race problems currently plaguing America, New York’s Natural History Museum will be tearing down a statue of Teddy Roosevelt.

According to Breitbart, the large statue at the entrance to the famed museum has been there since 1940 without issue. The statue depicts Roosevelt on horseback being accompanied by an African-American man and a Native American.

Apparently the museum’s president has decided to have the statue removed because of what happened to George Floyd and the subsequent protests and riots that followed.

“Over the last few weeks, our museum community has been profoundly moved by the ever-widening movement for racial justice that has emerged after the killing of George Floyd,” the museum’s president, Ellen V. Futter said to the New York Times.

Futter doubled down on liberal logic that removing statues of historical figures is the answer to improving race relations in America. Somehow.

“We have watched as the attention of the world and the country has increasingly turned to statues as powerful and hurtful symbols of systemic racism,” Futter added.

Museum officials collectively decided to have the historical statue removed and the request was approved by New York City, the owner of both the building and the statue.

Mayor Bill De Blasio backed the decision, calling it a “problematic statue.”
