On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took part in a forum-style event with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo at the National Governor’s Association.
At at one point, things seem to start going haywire for the speaker, as she begins talking with an odd, half-pursed lip. She then fumbles over her words, not really making any coherent statement for approximately ten seconds before appearing to regain her composure and divert to a different topic.
“Part of our faith. The family *inaudible inaudible*. The family, you have some idea of this, the and… eh, uh, congratulations, to your father,” Pelosi said.

The full event is below, with this particular incident happening at the 5:25 mark.
This video comes weeks after the impeachment of President Donald Trump, spearheaded by Pelosi and her House colleagues, fell flat in an acquittal vote by the GOP-controlled senate.
Despite the failed effort, Pelosi is starting new allegations that the president committed another “abuse of power” in tweeting out his disdain for the lightened sentencing of political strategist Roger Stone.
“We also saw the president this week demonstrate, once again that he has no respect for the rule of law … by engaging in political interference in the sentencing of his associate Roger Stone,” Pelosi stated.
“This is an abuse of power. The president is again trying to manipulate federal law enforcement to serve his political interests,” she concluded.
